Table
Writer : Jason Ho
Carving out from where I belonged, Into beautiful creations he made Doors, chairs, floors, walls but most magnificent of all was - a great grand table fit for royal banquets and village feasts: How glad to be made for service to my young master.
Around me he played and on me eat, family and friends did I all meet. Hearty time with his faithful 12 we dined Through happy hearts and secure spirits conjoined. At times his body was heavily burdened. Chosen to be a place to rest a heavy head and spent arms Most purposeful for me to give my master rest
There was this time when all was solemn hearing my master serious and silent Telling strange stories of bread and wine They listened, participating using eyes, blind Through the cracks of my body merry scarlet flowed How i missed the days that laughter flowed.
Tearing and sawing, I suffered a beating They ravaged and ripped, ruthless through nails that have held me I was dragged up a hill to be completed when just then a familiar scarlet touched and hugged by body Strong, potent and with a welcoming warmth yet far from merry It was young master in pain yet silent and prayerful
Nails drove deep and laced with blood, into master, into me. Groans of injustice followed sighs of destiny Until it flowed down the length of my structure Skies darkened, the sun refusing to lay eyes on such damnation The most sinful man of all time I supported How glad to be of service to my young master.
Jason Ho sings and plays the guitar, and worships at Petra Church.
