Birthday Poem

To you whom I see so dearly human:
may the year be good. Not good as some wish it,
each whim and fancy leaning to fulfilment,

but as the earth is, which knows so well
the rich fallen fruit, the harrowing rain,
the quiet of seeds, reaching for the sun.

  1. A lovely small poem that burrows into your heart and mind, makes a space for itself, and slowly unfolds its glory. Lovely; thanks for writing (and sharing) it!
