INSIDE >> Issue 09.2006 "Remember"  Slum City by Richard LeeEDITORIAL __________________ We updated this editorial for your sake. The previous one did not have anything inside except Richard's picture. In the newer version, we included a theme and some words to encourage you because we think that they matter. What does? These things - a title and encouraging words, because God has made us to name the world and to tend his earth - they grow under our authority and care. Therefore, this issue was named "Remember" because we hope that you remember why you exist. You did not appear out of nowhere to live in a slum for the rest of your life. You were made with rich detail and purpose. You were made to live with God and to rule the earth. You were made to steward over all living things. Did you remember what he said when you were made? "IT IS VERY GOOD." Did you remember what Jesus said about what was good? "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments." (Matthew 19:17, NIV) If we were made "very good", and only God is "good", then it is evidently clear. We are good today because the One who is good is entwined with us. We are good like him because we entered life with him. Keep a good head on your shoulders in this very distracting earth office. You have the authority and power to make your environment better than a slum city. You were made good through the life of Jesus, the Son of God. Remember.
